Purpose of the Cluster
The aim of the Cluster is to support the membership by communicating National and International cyber security initiatives, producing educational lectures on specific cyber security and business issues along with providing trade opportunities between the member businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk.
The cluster will also provide a networking platform to share ideas and best security practice within the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk and additionally encouraging collaboration and partnership opportunities so that SME’s can find new ways to grow and be secure.
Supporting Norfolk and Suffolk County Council’s commitment to Cyber Security (and UK Government’s Cyber Security Strategy) and local businesses by building and sharing cyber security knowledge, skills and capabilities in the region, to make businesses more resilient to cyber-attacks and attract inward investment to East Anglia.
Working alongside the local Universities and colleges, we’d aim to have input from and output to the local student and lecturer population; a tie-up with local course providers in IT and Cyber Security would be a huge benefit to all parties and would hope to build bridges or apprenticeship opportunities for the students and local business.
There are two different tiers of membership – either a FREE membership for SME businesses or a SUBSCRIPTION based membership with tangible additional benefits (see Membership page for full details).
The Norfolk and Suffolk Cluster is a registered as a Community Interest Company and the proposed first meeting will be Q1 2019; supported by local government business units, Chamber of Commerce offices, local Acadmia and Norfolk & Suffolk Constabulary plus other specialised groups.
